Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We just wanted to wish our Dance Family a very Happy Thanksgiving Holiday. While we wish we could be together this week, we suppose we should spend some time with our non-dancing friends and family…even though they have no idea how to have fun…just kidding, of course!!! We do hope everyone enjoys the start of the Holiday Season! Everyone be safe, we don’t want any 4 AM retail injuries this Black Friday….we can only imagine the die-hard shoppers in our group!

We’ll be back next week so, don’t hesitate -over stuff yourselves this Turkey Day! Don’t forget the Bread & Butter, Hot Potato, Peaches & Cream, Sugar & Pie …heck, why not a little Jose Cuervo to help with digestion! Don’t worry, come next week you’ll get to work off all those extra calories! If you really need your weekly fix, we encourage everyone to explore the other wonderful dance floors we have to enjoy throughout the region! Go Forth & Dance and have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy AnniversaryAfter the unforseen closing of Trumpets/Patriots night club The Dance Collaborative was desperate to keep the Thursday Night dance ritual here in the Springfield Area alive and well. It was on November 15, 2007 that, with much excitement, anticipation, and after a fair amount of nervous planning, The Dance Collaborative swung open the doors to a new dance floor. Opening night was an overwhelming success and we were further energized to bring a great group of dancers together each week!

As you may recall, the main goal of The Dance Collaborative was to “Secure” the weekly dance experience you came to know and love over the years. After much searching and negotiating, it seemed like a proper dance space would be difficult to secure long-term for our Line Dance Family. That was until, in a last ditch effort, the idea was pitched to the officers of The Polish American Citizens Club in South Hadley. After a frustrating search, The Polish Club happily welcomed us with open arms. It was time to dance!!!

I think it’s fair to say, it has been an exhilarating year for all of us! Our Dance Family, in our new home, has laughed, loved, learned and, of course, Danced the year away. As organizers, we’ve enjoyed the challenge of “Promoting and Enhancing the Community of Dance” while doing our best to make sure we maintain an all-inclusive format. We remain open to suggestions on how to make your Thursday Nights even more enjoyable.

We want to thank all of you, our wonderful patrons, for your continued support and incredible dance spirit. All the fun isn’t without hard-work behind the scenes. Pre-planning, set-up, tear-down, early arrivals, and late nights. It is all so worth it because of the tremendous spirit of our dancers! Keep up the good work and remember, we are here for you so, keep on dancing!!!!

It seems like it was just yesterday when The Dance Collaborative came together in hopes of continuing the Thursday Night Dance tradition here in Western Massachusetts. It’s hard to believe this month marks a full year!!! Many Thursdays, many dances, and many more friends later we remain extremely thrilled about Thursday Nights. We want to thank all of you for your tremendous spirit and for sharing in our passion for dance!

We hope everyone had a fun and exciting Halloween!!! Special thanks to all of those who attended our Halloween Dance Party. The turn-out was fantastic. The food, the costumes, the dancing! It couldn’t have been better!!! Thank You!!!
