Two Years and Counting
18 11 2009- Rich’s Last Night - November 19, 2009 - Come Celebrate!!!
- No Dance - November 26, 2009 - Happy Turkey Day!
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been two years since the doors flung open to a new kind of dance experience! In that time, we’ve shared so much. As an organization, we’ve learned what works and what doesn’t. We’ve learned what a talented group of dancers we really are. We’ve tried our best to keep things fun and enjoyable for all whom attend. We’ve had the great pleasure of introducing instructors from around the region. And by encouraging everyone to support other dances, to attend dance events, workshops and fundraisers, We’ve stayed true to our mission - To Secure, Promote, and Enhance to Community of Dance.
As a whole, we’ve experienced so much together. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, holidays, and other random things along the way. We’ve enjoyed so many happy moments, a few not-so-happy moments, and others that were just weird. We’ve had ups, downs, and all-arounds, but we’ve never stopped dancing! New dances, old dances, we just keep dancing and for all of these reasons we couldn’t be more proud. Thank You for your continued support. As we’ve said time and time again, It’s All About Dance, By Dancers, For Dancers!
As many of you know by now, Rich is heading to higher elevations and beyond. Over the years, he’s managed his many outdoor pursuits along with his equal love for Dance and the close knit family it has provided. Over the last year, Rich has been looking to make a positive change for his future. A change that might one day lead him to a place, physically and mentally, that better suits his passion and awareness for the things he loves. So when the opportunity to assume the position as Caretaker at Harvard Cabin presented itself, the decision came easily.
Of course, his decision did not come without a bit of contemplation. After considering Work, Dance, Friends and Family Rich decided it was a good decision given his time and place in life. In many ways it seemed life had been pushing him in the direction of such change. The decision to live on the mountain upon which he made his first Alpine Summit at 16 years old, the same mountain on which he still recreates year-round, seemed all too appropriate. This decision is the first of many he’ll make over the next few years. One that he hopes will serve as a segue to other opportunities in the Natural World.
We’d like to invite everyone out this Thursday as The Dance Collaborative celebrates the start of our third fantastic year!!! Rich would love to see everyone before he heads north for the Winter. Especially if he hasn’t seen you in a while. Come out for a few minutes or a few hours. Though Rich promises not to be a stranger, he’d love to see as many of you as possible. Rich won’t see most of you until Line Dance Showdown 2010 comes around. This Thursday, it’s gonna be a great night!

It’s Autumn and we’re still dancing! We hope everyone had a great summer even if you were singing in the rain and dancing in the puddles!!! Not to worry, the snow will be here before you know it. Until then, be sure to enjoy the splendid fall weather. Mother Nature has already begun showing her annual colors!
